Policies & Tuition Fees

POLICIES

Studio Care:

  • Only dance shoes may be brought into the dance studios. Please leave outerwear and outside shoes and boots in the outer porch.

  • Absolutely no food, gum, soda, etc. is allowed in the building.

  • Absolutely no smoking allowed on premises.

Regulation Dance Attire:

Our regulation dancewear may be purchased at the Capezio store in Milford, MA. The associates will have a list of all of the shoe and tight requirements for each class. Please write the student’s name on all dancewear to avoid lost items.

  • Leotard color: Determined by class level

  • Tights: Ballet pink

  • Shoes: Pink ballet slippers, black tap and jazz shoes

Hair:

Please secure hair away from student’s face so the teacher may see proper alignment for correct posture and placement.

Attendance:

Parents, please call to inform the school about absences. Classes missed may be made up in an alternate class. To perform in the recital, students must attend at least 30 classes in each subject.

Arrival and Drop off:

Parents, students need to arrive 15 minutes prior to class start time, so that they have ample time to change into their dance shoes and calmly enter the studio at their appointed time. After class, students may be picked up no later than 10 minutes after the end of their class.

Weather:

The Deane School of Dance observes all Mendon public school calendar holidays, vacations, and cancellations due to inclement weather.

If inclement weather develops late in the day, please call the studio for possible cancellations or listen to WMRC (AM 1490, FM 101.3) radio station or visit WMRC.

Recital Costume Payments:

In September, students will be measured in class for their recital costumes. The full costume payment is also due in September. Specific dates will be communicated by the studio. Occasionally, it may be necessary that accessories will be added at minimal cost at a later date. Please note that costume fees are not refundable after the costumes have been ordered.
